Privacy notice

Last updated 2026-09-30

This notice explains what information Packet Haven collects through this website, why, where it is stored, and how long it is kept. Packet Haven is a one-person business; “I” and “me” below refer to the owner who operates it.

What I collect

When you send the project inquiry form, I receive:

  • your name and email address;
  • your business name and current website address, if you provide them;
  • the package you’re interested in and an approximate budget, if you choose one;
  • your project description; and
  • a record that you confirmed you had read this notice, with the time of submission.

Please don’t include passwords, financial details, or other sensitive personal information in the form. The form doesn’t accept file uploads. I never visit the website address you enter automatically.

Spam protection and abuse prevention

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that submissions come from a person. Turnstile runs in your browser and processes technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics; Cloudflare acts as the processor for this check. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

To limit repeated automated submissions, the site stores a one-way hashed version of your IP address with a counter for up to 48 hours. The hash can’t practically be turned back into your IP address, and it is deleted automatically.

Where it’s stored

This website and its inquiry database are hosted on Cloudflare’s platform (Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1). Inquiry records are accessible only to me through my authenticated Cloudflare account. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare processes standard request information (such as IP addresses) to deliver and secure the site.

Analytics

This site does not currently use analytics, advertising trackers, or tracking cookies.

How I use your information

Only to reply to your inquiry, discuss and quote your project, and — if we work together — deliver it. I don’t sell your information, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.

How long it’s kept

Inquiries that don’t lead to a project are deleted within 24 months of the last contact. If we work together, project correspondence is kept for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal or accounting obligations. Spam and test submissions are deleted when found.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information you sent. Reply to any email from Packet Haven, or send a new message through the contact form saying what you’d like done, and I’ll respond personally.

Changes

If this notice changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
